3D Hexagon PET Felt Acoustic Wall Panel
Consistent Supply · Clear Specifications · Long-Term Cooperation
Hexagon acoustic panels are one of the most popular modular designs in contemporary interior architecture.
The hexagonal geometry allows seamless combination of multiple panels, enabling designers to create large acoustic feature walls with flexible patterns and color combinations.
Our 3D thermoformed hexagon PET panels combine acoustic absorption, geometric aesthetics, and modular installation efficiency — making them suitable for both architectural projects and branded interior environments.
Unlike decorative foam panels, our panels are manufactured from high-density PET felt panels specifically engineered for high-temperature thermoforming, ensuring structural stability and long-term dimensional accuracy.

Material
Our Hexagon acoustic panels are made from high-density polyester fibers derived primarily from recycled PET bottles.
Compared with mineral wool or fiberglass acoustic materials, PET felt panels do not release airborne fibers and can be safely handled, cut, and installed without protective equipment.
Key material characteristics:
Fiber melting point (around 240°C)
Formaldehyde-free
VOC emission level (E0 level if applicable)
Stable sound absorption performance
Excellent color consistency and colorfastness
Durable fiber structure suitable for thermoforming
The most commonly used base materials for thermoforming hexagon panels are 9mm and 12mm PET felt panels.
These thicknesses provide the best balance between structural stability, mold definition, and acoustic performance.
What Makes 3D Thermoforming Different from Standard PET Panels?
Not every PET felt panel can be thermoformed successfully.
3D thermoforming is a structural manufacturing process rather than a simple decorative treatment. During high-temperature pressing, the PET panel undergoes controlled compression of approximately 40–60%. If the base density is unstable or fiber bonding is inconsistent, defects such as cracking, surface distortion, or edge fraying may occur.
Standard flat PET acoustic panels are designed mainly for sound absorption. In contrast, 3D thermoformed panels must provide both acoustic performance and structural precision.
For hexagon modules in particular, dimensional accuracy is critical. Even minor size deviation can affect pattern alignment when multiple panels are installed together.
This is why thermoforming quality starts with the base material manufacturing process. Stable density, consistent thickness tolerance, and strong fiber bonding ensure sharp geometric definition and reliable long-term durability.

Technical data: Fire Rating
Our PET felt panels comply with international fire safety standards:
- EN 13501-1 (B-s1, d0) – European market
- ASTM E84 (Class A) – North America
- BS 476 Part 6 & 7 – UK projects
- SGS test reports available
For thermoformed 3D panels, fire rating remains unchanged after molding because the base material is homogeneous solid fiber — not surface-treated foam.
Technical data: NRC value
Acoustic performance depends on installation method.
3D structured surface improves sound diffusion performance, not only absorption.
